VT3 on mac/windows
I know Oceanic doesn't support Mac downloads yet, but here's my situation.
I have a MacBook and am running Windows XP through Parallels. I downloaded the Oceanic dive log in Windows and am trying to download my dives. When I plug the VT3 in, it goes into PC mode and counts down for 180 seconds. The application minimizes but then freezes and I have to shut down and restart Windows. I also downloaded the driver from Oceanic's site. Any other suggestions on how I can get my dives in my log? |

There is often some funkiness using USB devices under Parallels. I would check it really carefully and make sure the right USB port is under Window's control (click the little USB icon and make sure it's checked).
In some cases, however, it simply may not work. Have you played with any of the dual boot options? I know they were working on (I haven't played with it as much as I'd like) getting things so you could install Windows on a native partition (which makes it a real full-blown Windows comp that should work normally with anything), but then letting you run it Windowed from the Mac side and accessing that same installation. If you can't get it to work in the windowed Windows, rebooting into "real" Windows might solve the issue. Pure speculation, but hopefully it helps you. ![]() |

it works pretty well for me, I use my boot camp partition as my parallels drive, and it runs cache and jgrasp well, which are 2 applications I use daily for school. (There is a mac verion of JGrasp, but the way a mac interface works is different from a PC one, so I have to test in a PC environment)
