Trip report 7/25-8/1
![]() Great Trip! We dove with Dive with Martin. They are the greatest! They took care of all of our gear, we didn't have to do anything! We went to Palancar, Columbia, Night dive on Paradise, Tormentos and Caralillo. The aquatic life was great. We saw two sharks and one was at least 6' long. We say yellow rays, stingrays and electric rays. All kinds of fish. We felt like we were diving in a huge aquarium! We stayed at Hotel Cozumel. Very nice hotel. Room was great. All the employees were very helpful and enjoyable. We did the all-inclusive plan and it was nice knowing that we had food waiting for us downstairs before we went to dive and after we dove! We also rented a scooter. We went all over the island - a lot of fun! We went to the ruins.....don't really recommend that. The weather was perfect - had about 5 raindrops hit me the whole 8 days! Dive with Martin is a must! |

Oh, I almost forgot! I brushed up against a Hydroid. It was black with feather like branches. I ended up having to call DAN and ask them what to do. I had to go to the DR once I got home and get a shot, a cream, a steroid and an allergy pill! It in no way ruined my trip. It just itched down to the bone!

Our DM said that no one ever goes to Caralillo anymore. It wasn't on any of the maps that we had (because they were all new). All of our dives were between Paradise and Palancar. It seems like the Carallilo was closer to Paradise and the International Pier.
