I got mine less than 2 weeks ago. It's a great light. I'll probably get a rat jr down the road. My buddy has a rat jr. The color of his light is more blue while the rat is more white. The jr has a broader beam, so it really lights up a larger area that is close by better than the rat. But the rat light penetrates better. You will not be dissapointed
