Got the rig wet this weekend...LOVE IT!!!!!! and yes the lower dump is the opv I figured that out
I just asked the question because i was not 100% sure and di not want to hook it up to a tank and rupture the bladder since ST had just shipped me the 2nd one since the first one had issues as you can read about in the complaints section. The new wing however has no issues. It is awesome. Love how the bp/w feels in the water. Out of the water it cut pretty good into the sides of my arms near my shoulders. i was not wearing a suit since I was practicing in a pool session since didn't want to jump into the ocean with students before knowing my gear and not be effective when the instructor needed me. Got some nice rash going on now, but figure it won't be an issue with the suit on for padding. That and I am new to the BP/w setup so I read all the adjustment sights people posted on initial setup. Have to adjust the rear d-ring on the crotch but think I have the rest adjusted correctly. Feels like I am naked underwater and it puts me perfectly horizontal. I do have another question though. I did purchase an oxycheq sausage weight that fits along the spine groove since i bought an AL plate for traveling purposes to warmer climates, but diving korea is cold to temperate diving so wanted the extra weight on the plate rather than around my waste...that and good luck finding steel tanks over here. I am wondering however if it is better to just have the weight in a belt or if this was a good idea.. Steal plates over here run around 300 bucks so do not really want to buy another at the moment since the cash can go towards buying other gear essentials. (diving singles at the moment. I know that AL plates are generally used for doubles, but like I said wanted it for travel also) Any comments? Cheers and thanks to all those that helped me previously to make the choice to go BP/W. |

I'm heading to Pohang in November. Is there much good diving over there? Am I going to have to go to a dry suit, or can I get by with a 7mm.
Any advice you can give me will be appreciated.

Use weight belts when you travel, but try to keep most of it centered when at home. Just be aware that changing to the belt will change your center of gravity slightly. But this shouldn't be a problem. |

As for diving. Come and check out the diveshop I am working at. I have done the research, and trust me when I say that the two best dive shops in Korea for foreigners are; 1. Deep Blue Quest | Welcome (where I am doing my training) 2. BigBlue33 - Jeju Island diving service (dive shop on Jeju) You can also find more info at Scuba In Korea - For Foreign Scuba Divers Living In Korea! |
