Is Halcyon.... ScubaPro?

Just wondering if Halcyon is the technical equipment side of ScubaPro?
I have a set of Halcyon weight pockets and the have a stainless ScubaPro buckle on them.

I wonder why Halcyon uses ScubaPro stainless buckles on their weight pockets?

I have a ACB 20 system and it came from the manufacturer with a stainless ScubaPro buckle instead of a plastic slide release buckle.
Kind of curious about that.

ScubaPro supports the WKPP. JJ owns halcyon and is heavily involved in the wkpp. quid pro quo?

Seems fair to me, plus they both make great products!

What kind of stainless buckle? If it's a standard 2" webbing stainless buckle, it's a bit weird because H makes its own branded version.

However, back in the days before Halcyon (and even after), a lot of people liked the Scubapro stainless buckle because it was solid and reliable. I'd be more than happy with it personally.

Did you buy the weight pockets at an LDS? Maybe they had to swap out the original buckle for some reason and replaced it with a Scubapro? Personally, I'm happy to have as little H advertising on me as possible, so I'd see that as a good thing

That's the thing. The ACB20s are new products, aren't they? I have older Halcyon backplates from years back that still have "H" buckles.
