Not sure about that one specifically but most have such a program. It's just to costly not to.

On thier volunteer page, these are some of the basic requirements:
General Program Requirements and Expectations:

• Participate and successfully complete all requirements for our training course and demonstrate the ability to interact well with other people.
• 12 month commitment with a minimum of 4 hours per week.
• Adhere to dress codes and all other rules established for all Oklahoma Aquarium Employees and other Staff.

I have been trying to volunteer there for 2 years with no luck. The lady in charge of volunteer never returns emails or phone calls. I tried to complain to her bosses but was told by receptionist that there was no one to complain to. Back in Aug. I finally did get my name added to a list to take a class that all scuba volunteers have to take. I was told that they only do a class once a year and it is usually in the fall. I was never called. I don't know if it is true or not but was told that the people in charge of the divers had quit. Now that Chrismas is over I may have to try again. I will let you know how it goes.

Oklahoma Aquarium is in Jenks, Tulsa didn't want it back then. They're sorry now. Jenks is getting ready to blow Tulsa out of the water with all the develope planned around the Aquarium in the near future.

i called and talked to somebody up there, and they told me that there was a huge waiting list, something like 2 years, so i gave up on that. We've got a small freshwater aquarium at our mall, that's about 9 ft deep, and about 25 feet long, and i've got a deal worked out with them to do the cleaning and a little mini show 1 saturday a month for the kids. It'll be fun, i'm looking forward to it.

Where in Muskogee is this aquarium? I didn't know there was one there. I would like to take the grandkids there sometime.
