I hope your experience is better than mine was. I tried the DiveOptx magnifiers and pulled them out of my mask after 1 dive.

Would you mind elaborating on why? it's Friday afternoon here in Guam, and I am getting in the water around 4:15 on a beach dive.

Thanks
Sorry I did not have the opportunity to respond before now. It took me several attempts to get them installed and positioned correctly. Once I did get them installed (or so I thought), one of them shifted when I rinsed the mask so it was back to the drawing board again. When I finally did get them in and got to dive with them, I found them very difficult to see through.

At least some of my problems were likely self inflicted so here's hoping that you fare better than I.

The only downside of my "disposable" contacts is they cost me ~$7 each, so I'd rather not loose them.

I've been wearing soft contacts for years (disposable). Never had a problem. I've even been known to go swimming in them, no problems. However, I've got a basic prescription, but now that I'm over 40 I'm understanding what reading glasses are all about.

OK, magnifiers worked fine on all 3 weekend dives. I used Johnson's Baby Shampoo for anti-fog, and never had a problem with them moving or falling out during rinse.

I trimed the shape just a bit so it would fit better in the bottom of the mask. The main reason I got the magnifiers was to accurately read the compass. With magnifiers in bottom of mask, I had to tilt my head all the way back, and hit the valve on the tank. Adjusted BCD level on next dive, and problem solved.

Now that I can read the compass accurately, I can naviguess much better. Guess that means I have to go test them again today.
