Dive LADDER

I have a 26 ft Trojan 26 that I plan on diving from. I was wondering if any body has made a heavy duty ladder. Just thanking I may make one instead of buying it. I plan on using my doubles, so some of the ladders may not work.

Thanks

I have a 22' CC I/O drive and just got done rebuilding the swim step and ladder. I have yet to dive from it but its in the works.

I started with a set of white oak boards and re-built the swim platform creating a mount point for the windline bracket here. I then custom made a SS hinge out of plate and round. On this, I bolted a 4 step 'tree' ladder.

Let me know if you want pictures. I probably ought to take a few.

I just used that ladder on a 35 cc two weekends ago. It worked really well. I was thinking about either building one like it or buying on.

If you have a pic I would like to see how you mounted it.

Most of the ladders we use over here look like this but have an extra triangle brace under each side of each step to reinforce them, seem to work for doubles and slings ( I don't know how those guys climb up it though )

The main reason I've been avoiding a switch to double tanks is I don't want to climb a ladder in rough seas while wearing doubles.

It's not to bad, granted I have not been in rough seas. When I dove them it was only 3 to 4 ft seas and they were spaced out.

Actually I was talking about the weight, doubles and slings on each side, even though rough seas do make it more amusing
