Computer and Compass Storage Box
I just found a perfect way to store my computer and compass for travel. Long term home storage I leave the lid open for for travel they are protect for damage plus the box has a value on the side to equalize pressure. That is the SK7 Compass and DSS mount along with the new Zeagle 3 computer and the DSS mount. Here are some pics and that is the compass screen on the Zeagle 3 computer that is showing.

Don't fly with it sealed up.
There have been a number of instances where the computers, stored in air-tight cases which vented to equalize at the high flight altitude (~30,000'), once suddenly pressurized back at sea level, went into dive mode, thinking that sea level was actually a couple feet underwater. The battery has to be pulled to reset it, since you're not likely to be able to throw your computer up high enough to allow it to "surface" again. ![]() |
