I know mine is in the basement. I used a length of railing, cut it the length between two of main support beams, added a support in the middle that keeps it from sliding and sagging.

What I like is the idea of the pegboard. Just need to figure out the best way to mount that in the concrete. I am thinking of running 2X4s floor to ceiling to allow air flow from behind and keep out the mold.

I just started my dive locker (yes with 2x4's, wood and metal). I'm making my shed 5X10. Hope to be finished by this weekend coming. Pictures to follow. If I can figure out how to post pic's.

Very nice. I need somewhere to keep my gear at this point. Do you have this in your house? Or in the garage? I am not sure if I can fit that in my house but I have been trying to figure out something for my gear.

I am in the process of designing my storage unit for my gear. It will be in the basement where everyone will be able to see it. Since it is going to be where everyone can see it, I am going to make it out of precut and predrilled shelving boards from Menards.

I don't know about your garage in Florida, but mine gets HOT, HOT, HOT. Too hot for storage.

For now, my gear does the air dry outside in the shade or late afternoon sun, then goes inside for storage. But then, I dive almost every weekend while I am still here in Guam.

Mine is in the basement. I put in a large tub next to the washer & dryer first.

Then bought a piece of railing from Home Depot. Cut it the distance between two of the support beams in the basement so it now fits in between. Used some flashing to wrap each end and bolt it to the wood beams above so that it doesn't slide. Wrapped it about 1/2 way to eliminate the sagging.

Then I bought a couple of rubbermaid containers, one a foot locker and another that its a double drawer to hold all of the accesories, fins, etc.

Right now it is holding three wetsuits & two BCs without any stress.

Tanks stay out in the garage. Not going to carry those up and down the stairs!

I really like the pegboard idea. I am finishing my basement right now, maybe I can convince my wife to let me build a closet for all of my gear. Haha, that was a joke, you were supposed to laugh.

The problem I see right now putting all my gear in one place is my wife is going to **** when she see all of it. Oh well not much to do about it now. Guess I'll hand over a credit card and drop her off at the mall. Or she can start diving, I already got her gear.
