I did mine just like that, and have seen no need to modify those instructions.

OK, so where did you guys get the bigger piece on innertube from? I just went to the bike shop and got the small racebike innertube for the clamp but I have no idea of what to use for the top. Could I just use bungee cord to hold the reg?

I use bungie on one of mine and it works fine. The other has car tire tube I got from a local mechanic who specializes in brakes and tires. He was more than happy to let me have a flat tube.

I just finished my sling and I must say that I am pretty happy with it. I did not get my hands on any bigger innertube so I just used two pieces of bungee cord. I am sure that it will be suficient to hold the reg.

Thanks
Phil

OK, that one was a little small so here is another one that is a little easier to see.

Good job. I am planning on getting a 30 or 40 cf pony bottle in the very near future. Was trying to determine how I wanted to mount it, and for the price I don;t think I could beat a setup like this. Also If I get into tech later I'd be used to carrying a deco bottle. Thanks for the post.
