Upgrading my C4 to a C8

I have a UK C4 Light.. I will be upgrading to a C8.. using Nimh batteries. I have ordered the light bulb from ST. and will post if it works.. This will be my over the Christmas Project..

Has anyone tried doing this? Any suggestion. I already bought the battery casing. i need to cut some leads to make it fit..
