Ia m curious to find out what is the most useful thing that you guys have made that is not necessarily found in dive shops. I want to get some ideas to make my dives a little more convenient and a bit safer. Can't be too safe.

I made a pretty nice HID100 video light arm for my camera.

I'm also making an airlift for sucking sand and sediment off the bottom to help find a presumably buried wreck site, but
I haven't had time to complete it yet.

I also would like to make a small ROV at some point, but for now most of my Dive DIY has been modifications, not fabrications.

2 pieces of PVC and 3 pieces of steel pipe with 2 elbows!!!!!

I made a removeable outdoor gear drying rack. Get 2 2ft PVC pipes (or a 4ft and cut in half) just larger than the OD of the steel pipe. I used 3 8ft sections of steel pipe and used 2 elbows to thread them together. Pound the pvc into the ground just over 8ft apart then when you want to dry your stuff outside, pull the pipe out of the garage and stick it down the pvc and it makes a nice 8ft long 6ft high drying rack that your wife doesn't complain about when not in use and you can mow over it!

Wow. I never thought of making a strobe like device. Is it really effective?

I have made some spring straps and a custom harness. I am rebuilding some tank straps with some more flexible webbing because it makes it so much easier to tighten them.
