read of people cutting pvc, and then lightly sand it so the pencil will write on it... honestly, too much work when you can pick up one for like 30 bux with pencil and 3 pages...
OMS Wrist Slate, Accessories: Clips, OMS, OMS Wrist Slate

Got the one Larry mentioned. I like it alot. I like the multiple writing surfaces. All the DIY ones I've seen only have 1 surface.

I too have the one that Larry mentioned and I like it a lot. I was going to make my own, but for the price it was not worth the hassle to make it. If you want to do it just to do it, then that is a different story...

We bought children's travel Magnadoodles. Perfect size. Drilled a hole in the end and clip it to our BCs. Fits in the pocket. writes on easy and erases easy. Magnadoodle costs about $4.95.

Had some scrap vinyl siding . a pencil writes very well on it. it is easy to cut. only thing is it may be to flimsy or it may be just right .

I also have the one larry showed. It's a good affordable slate. My only problem is that they break fairly easily. I bought a second one and use the old one for spare parts.

What about one that is kinda flexible and can sort of wrap around the arm. ? My arms are small and i think a flexible one would be nice.

I was thinking of taking a flexible cutting sheet from the kitchen and adding some velcro straps or bungies.

Anyone got any thought on that?
