I have the Pinnacle EVO 2, and have the compressed neoprene socks instead of the vulcanized rubber boots. I would also recommend getting the convience zipper added if you have a weak bladder. Just my 2 cents...You get alot of bang for the buck with thePinnacle Evo 2 DS...

You might want to talk to Larry at ScubaToys.....Regardless on the suit you decide on, he gave me a great deal on my Pinn Evo 2. I think it has been answered, but yes, you can get various options with the Evo if you special order it. I know several special ordered their suits and it worked out great for them. I was lucky and got one off the rack at ScubaToys.

You also might search the DS forum - there is a lot of great information on DS and especially for those looking to buy. One great thread is one that Cummings put up awhile back. I think it is a poll and he gathered alot of informtion together in the thread.

I am a new diver & went to a dry suit almost immediately after getting my ow cert. I dive the TLS 350 by DUI & love it. In cold water I can pile on a warmer undergarment or layer up, in warmer water maybe just a bathing suit & t shirt under it. I like that flexibility with the laminated suits. Also check out the zip seals, it's important! I can change my own seals if I rip one & I carry an extra set just in case... Diving in NJ it's almost a requirement to dive dry due to the lower temps at depth, so my instructor highly recommended I go dry as soon as I could afford it...

I own the Pin Evo2 with Socks....I love my suit and decided that it is so much more cost effective than the DUI...no knocks at DUI, but I really felt like i got more on the Pin!

I am trying to decide between the evo-2 and evo. Is the extra $250 worth getting the Evo 2 vs the regular evo? It looks like the main differences are rear vs front entry, a slightly different pockets? Any other major difference?

I really like Front Entry......Allows me to put on and take off very easily without anyones help. I also like being able to visualize the zipper being fully closed.

I got my Pin EVO2 about a month ago. I've never taken a lesson, just studying and diving with other drysuit divers. I have dove it twice. Best piece of dive gear I've ever bought. It is very forgiving for a new drysuit diver. I just recently bought an undergarment. Have been diving in T-shirt and shorts to get used to diving it. I love my Pinnacle EVO2 Got it with attached boots. Can't wait for winter time to get here to see it really shine.
