I am the odd ball in the group with 7mil quality 5 finger neo gloves and the dry suit.....BUT having worn both the products in the OP's question, I much prefer the 'rings' for ease of donning and comfort. Though I am sticking with my neo gloves.

They come up there. RARELY. Gotta watch closely for a long time, pounce fast, and have a little luck. Or pay retail. ![]() |

I don't think the SITech rings are well regarded. Read around a bit and you'll see that many people have problems with them. They work, but you've got to be very careful with them or they will leak. It's all to easy to goof up. I've got several buddies who use them and every single one of them has had a major leak.
The Viking rings on the other hand almost never leak. Mine have never once leaked on me in the 4 years or so I've been using the Viking System. It's made by SITech as well, but to Viking specs and sold only to Viking. Bob3 can be trusted to deliver, he's a great guy and honest as the day is long. For what it's worth, I no longer put a hose under my seals to the glove and I've been to 150 feet without issues in the drygloves, ie they didn't cause me pain from squeeze. You do feel it, but it's not painful, to me at least. I wanted to add, in the Winter in the mid 30 degree water I will put an air tube in there so my fingers don't get frozen.

I agree with Cummings... the Si Techs are dicey. Last resort ring system, IMO.
The Viking Bayonets are pretty fool proof, and the DC rings are pretty hard to mess up, too. I liked the smaller rings the DC rings offered... the Viking rings are freaking huge. From what I understand, though, either would work well. |

Finally ordered my viking glove ring! Was diving from the Cypress Sea on Saturday and one of the diver looked at me with the "WTF" face after I showed him my 5mm fingerless glove!
That was priceless, although to me, it kinda made me look stupid.Did bought the SI-tech, but ended up selling it because the glove was so large, even Bigfoot's hand would still be roomy! Now all I need is the pink webbing harness and my life will be complete. ![]()

They look like biking gloves. Reason why I did that was to prevent me from poking at creatures because I have a habit of doing that, but seem to stop now. Also, had problem clipping clips back on my D-ring.
