Looking for a drysuit

I have a friend who just purchased a dive rite drysuit and she has gotten me interested in purchasing one also. Probably wont be able to purchase one until after my wedding next year. I found a good deal on bare with boots hood gloves and undergarmet, or at least it sounds like a good deal compared to other prices. It is priced at $950. I was wondering if there is any brand that I should stay away from? I have found two different suits, never heard of the brand though. The two brands are SEA ELITE TYPHOON NEXXUS and also SEA ELITE HDC 7MM DRYSUIT from divers-supply.com Just wondering if anyone could help me out. Thanks

Love my Diving Concepts Tec Flex, With all the bells and whistles it was alittle bit more, but well worth it to me. My only suggestion is not to buy one on line, i tried on several and ended up with a custom suit. The dealer took 38 or so measurements. Anything you need to try on i would go to a dealer.
Also keep in mind what you get with the suit, do you want a heavy duty zipper, pockets, special neck and wrist deals, dry gloves, rock boots?

I am not very familiar with drysuits. I just want to be able to dive during the winter without freezing to death. Are there any features that someone would recommend having or not having?

A heavy duty zipper and attached dry gloves. Other than that it depends on the type of diving you will be doing and the rest of your gear. After you get a basic suit and dive it you'll decide if you want a different fitting style boot, or if you need pockets.

Just go with the best DUI suit you can afford. There is a reason why the WKPP uses them, they are the best.
