Used Dry Suit Concerns

I've been looking to purchase a dry suit for a while now and I'm fairly certain that I know what I want and what size to get. I plan to buy a Bare suit, mainly because their warranty goes with the suit, and the used suits themselves are cheaper. I know I need to check the boot sizes as well as the suit sizes, and if the seals are cut too loose, I would have to replace them. Are there any other considerations I should be making on buying a used dry suit?

My only piece of advice is to make sure you try it on with your undergarment. How it fits without is irrelevant.

I would agree with the above, at the same time I would ensure that your comfortable in it as far as flexability goes ect.....the seals can almost always easily be replaced.

I just (successfully!) bought a used drysuit. A few things to look out for:

-Bring a tank if you can, if the seals fit well enough you can inflate it to check the valves work ok...

-Carefully check the zipper! Make sure all the teeth look OK, as replacing that is expensive

I hadn't thought about doing that, but it seems like a good idea. I will most likely be purchasing it online, so I would have plenty of time to do that before the return deadline.
