Depends on how cold your neck gets. (or not)

I don't get cold on my neck, or at least not to the degree that some do. I don't dive actually frigid, near the freezing point, waters, either.

For temps to the high 40s, I've been outstandingly pleased with my Henderson Gold Core drysuit hood. Squared off neck (no bib), so there's no tucking or messing around, nicely stretchy so it's comfy, slick lined interior so it drys fast and easy.

If your waters get really cold, I'd look at the Otter Bay custom 12mm jobs. The northern folks who consistently dive colder waters swear by them.

Just like Compudude says, except I had the owner made me a 16mm hood and my head has been so warm that I even used it in BC and Scapa Flow and my head was roasting.

Also Pinnacle's Merino wool hood is very warm too when I first started diving it. It just too many divers in my area have otterbay's hood that I had to join the crowd.
