Dry Glove Rings
I'm looking for anyone who has either a spare set of dry glove rings that they want to sell, or know where I might be able to get a set. ST sells the dry gloves as a kit, but I already have dry gloves, which I bought on eBay for $15, but now I just need the rings.
If no one comes up with anything, I may email ST to ask if they will sell just the rings, and at what cost. |

There are rings and there are rings... there is a difference!
![]() No, really. Some rings are ment to fit under your suit's seals and push up to meet with the rings on the gloves. Other rings are actually mated to the sleeves of the dry suit (thus becoming permanent) and still maintain a separate wrist seal. In this later case, the glove's rings just mate to the rings on the suit. Which ever route you need to go, just make sure your wrist seals stay in place - even under the gloves. Otherwise, a cut finger in the glove is going to flood your whole suit! A little more information on what you have (in terms of your new gloves), and how your drysuit is set-up, would be helpful in trying to figure out what you really need. |

It really depends on what kind of gloves you bought.
Did you buy the simple $3 Atlas vinyl gloves? That's what you want... $15 should have bought you half a dozen pairs of the uninsulated ones. I wear $3 Atlas gloves with $2 liners in 36 degree water. Works great. Viking makes a couple different sets of rings, I have the bayonets. Wrist seal on suit is still intact, and it takes the better part of 5 minutes to install the rings / gloves. Dry gloves 4 teh win. -Brandon.

Yep, just wasn't sure how to word that. If the OP bought regular gloves like Dive Rite, Si Tech or Bare. They won't work with the Viking system.
I have a Si Tech glove and ring system if anyone is interested. Never been wet, all rings included. $100 shipped in the US. Pics available |
