Dry Suits and Fins

Getting everything together to do my dry suit certification on the 15 of Aug. Took me a while to find my Chuck Taylors in size 13 and of coarse they don’t fit any of fins properly. I have been using ScubaPro Jets and working on my frog kicking and would like to continue with either the Jets or something similar.
My first question is if I purchase Scuba Pro Jets XXL are they going to fit the size 13 Chuck Taylors? I have XL now and they are to small but I heard the XXL are huge.
Is there another fin that is either better fin or would provide a better fit than the ScubaPro Jets?

I recently purchased the Hollis fins in XXL. My drysuit has size 12 boots and this works great. I'd recommend the Hollis fins if you are looking at purchasing. But, this gives you an idea of the sizes. Keep in mind my drysuit has integrated boots not rock boots.

I'll second the hollis fins. They are awesome. You can pm Nick Hollis over on scubaboard and ask which size he recommends. They are heavy for travel, but since you're considering jets it shouldn't be a big deal.

Well I used some size 13 wetsuit booties (borrowed from the quarry owner) with my drysuit last weekend because I had forgotten my normal rockbooks and they fit perfectly in my Turtle Fins. I have never used any other fins in my DS I really like the turtles...

I would also recommend the Hollis F1's...

If you are wearing the Chuck T's in a size 13, you would need the XXL(Hollis). I wear a rock boot size 13 in my Hollis F1's. The foot pocket is pretty big and you would have a good comfortable fit with the Chuck T's.

You can fit Turtles (a clone of Jets that is sized between XL and XXL) or the Hollis F1s. If you're digging the heavy fins, I'd go with one of those. If you'd prefer a lighter weight fin, OMS SlipStreams are nearly identical looking to Jet fins as well, but are made from a lighter weight plastic compound instead (much like other fins are).

I used to switch between Jets and SlipStreams all the time, especially using SlipStreams for travel due to weight restrictions, but I've pretty much settled on the SlipStreams full time at this point.

I decided to go with the Hollis F1. I like the idea of 5 way adjustable spring straps and the larger and deep foot pockets. I PM Nick Hollis and ask him what size would fit my size 13 Chuck Taylors and he said the pockets run little large and the XL (10 – 12) would "fit like a glove". I hoping it works out that the Hollis will work with both my dry suit size 13 and my normal size 11 neoprene boots. I was a little worried about the OMS being to stiff since I have had cramp problems with some plastic paddle fins. Hooked up my dry suit hose to my reg and all I have do now is finish up the Dry Suit Diver Manual and exercises.
