I just got rid of all my copper when I renovated too... PEX is superior IMHO and cheaper in my experience. building codes that require copper were probably written when copper was the best option. That isn't necessarily true anymore.

![]() (I'm not criticizing cuz I'm just a guilty, just an observation.) EDIT: Have a great time down there. I have a buddy who has diving Antartica on his bucket list. It's not on mine, but who know. Things change.

I have dived and tended divers in the antarctic. From what I see pretty much any drysuit will work as long as you can fit the necessary undergarments into it. Neoprene suits do offer a bit more insulation but I have seen divers use membrane suits too. I use a suit that's a bit oversize and has boots 2 sizes bigger than my foot size. You also need a substantial weight system because you're going to need a lot of it. With double layer undersuits I ended up using 44lbs whereas "normally" I'd use 32lbs. A weight harness is pretty much compulsory! |
