The best suit for antartica would be something in the 1/2" conpressed neophrene that's at least 1 size larger as you'll need at least polarfleece 800 to maintain the warmth. the better option is a warm water suit, but that's a surface tender suit and all.
Not to mention a lot of more specialized gear-water is literally 30f all year. Yes, that's correct: 30f!!!! I have to ask Why antartica???? Did an arctic mission in '85. Never again!!!!

My LDS is going on a trip to Antartica in March of 2010 and I wish I had the cash to go, but I do not. Should be a good time though. If I were going I would be using my Fusion. I think it would be fine as long as you can get some good undergarments under it. It is a tight suit by design so it may be harder to get the thicker heavy undergarments under it... So if you do buy one just make sure you keep that in mind...
Here is a link to the trip description from my LDS... Phil

I'd love to do it, but 10K is a lot of scratch that I just don't have. Especially since I'm remodeling 3 rooms in my house and one of them is the bath. Lot of money there, especially since I'm getting rid of all the copper pipe in the house.

Why get rid of copper? I hope you are not going with PVC. There is some reason why city's have developed their building codes that required copper.
