Swiss Lake Diving?

Has anyone done any diving in Interlaken Switzerland? Looks like a blast to me. I think I might give it a try on my next trip to Europe. Thank God for German relatives...

While I have not dived in either of the lakes at Interlaken, I can recommend diving in any of the lakes in Switzerland. I used to dive in Lac Leman and it was a blast. Be aware that it may seem cold at the surface but that is just an illusion. It gets cold at the thermocline.

I do all my check-out dives as an instructor in Thunersee, one of the two lakes that Interlaken sits between. It is probably the most scenic of the two. It is beautiful scenery but underwater it is not the world's warmest or clearest. However, the colder it is, the clearer it is! It is something to do just to get a feel for lake diving.

The Vierwaldstättersee near Luzern is more famous for diving. In either case, bring your Trockenanzug (dry suit!)
