BP/W weight question

I am currently diving a Zeagle Ranger, but I have a question about BP/W set-up. The trans plate harness looks pretty sweet but how does one carry weight? Do you integrate into the harness or carry a weight belt separately? I have had 2 BCs and both have been weight integrated. I wore a weight belt once during training, but found that extremely uncomfortable.

diffecult to diflate a back inflating BCD

Hi :)
Last time i dove i tried a rental BCD which no body wanted but the instructor lend it to me for I asked him to try a back inflating BCD. It was a SeacSub Mito. I had tough times going into the water despite good weights to discover it does not empty its air nicely. It had great buoyancy & the dive was great but every time I try to let some air out It refuses letting go of the last puffs. I had to press against it with my hand to get the air out.
That did not happen in the vest BCD i was using before...Are all back inflators this way or was this defective in some way?
Thanks in advance.

Internal bladder squished up ok?

I have the oxycheq mach V signature 30lbs. The inner bladder is larger than its outer cover, so the bladder already considerably squashed up even when fully deflated, and gets even worse when fully inflated, specially near the inflator hose inlet.

Is this normal? Will the bladder soon crack along the creases?

I am going to make a switch from my current BCD's (Ranger and Mares Icon) to a BP/W. I would love to shave off that much.

Brigade Vs Ranger

I have found a few threads comparing the two and have even read an ST post about the two BCs and how the Brigade to be. But like always I am still in a quandary. Which one to get ...

Originally I had looked at and decided on the Ranger because of its ability to support Doubles HOWEVER as I've read more and looked more I believe that when I am ready to move to doubles I will build a custom backplate, wing, harness rig.

So now removing the "doubles" from the equation I want to factor in travel, weight, size, comfort and functionality. I am starting to lean towards the Bridge as it has a smaller bladder, travels more easily, and weighs less.

With that said it might help to understand my body size ... I'm 5'9" and about 250lbs. most of which is pretty solid. And as a bigger buy I am not fond of weight belts so I want a system that supports integrated weights.

So what I pose to the experienced divers that have used either / or both the Ranger and the Brigade can you tell me what you like better about each one and why?

Thanks,
Gerry

Ok I have been trolling the forums, surfing the web, evening Googling images and while I feel I have a good understanding of the setup (especially after DD took the time to show me his setup) I am curious as to preferred method for weights.

I'm by no means small so weights will be a factor - 7mil freshwater I use 12-14lbs and in Salt I still am not sure. If down the road or sooner I choose to go after a backplate setup will that with that mean a weight belt as well?

Thanks :)

Guys, I just saw this (http://www.scubatoys.com/store/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=OxyCheqMachVRazorWing) item on ST's website and am seriously tempted by it.
Can anyone tell me the difference (advantages and disadvantages) of the razor wing as compared to the much more expensive signature series?
Many thanks in advance!

I just purchased Oceanic ProbeLX BC and according to size chart on Oceanic page I should be well fitted by LG . I am 6'2" 190lb but i have feeling it is too big for me. Does anybody had similar experience where official chart is not matching actual? do I need to try it with heavy wetsuit or it should fit perfectly without any? how tight it should be? I do not have air tanks available to try it fully inflated

Thanks

Hi,

What is the best way to store your scuba gear between seasons/dives. I have large plastic bin where I keep everything: BC, Reg, Wetsuit, fins and mask. I am not sure if it is the best setup
