having just started the drysuit journey, i am still tweaking the rig. The only thing i do not care for is the proximity of the necklaced octo and the suit inflator valve.

What do you guys do?

Thanks

Best drysuit for someone who doesn't like things around neck

I'm thinking of moving to a drysuit at some point. I currently dive a Mares Arctic 7mm at our quarry. I've been in temps to 44 degrees and didn't get too cold but the dives were always short (<30 minutes). My air consumption is really good and my husbands is getting better so I can see our dive length increasing as his consumption gets even better.
The problem? I hate things around my neck. Turtleneck shirts always make me feel like I am choking. My wetsuit also bothers me and I don't even tighten the velcro at the back of the neck. I haven't tried a drysuit yet so it might not be a problem but right now I think it will be.
Is there a brand that is less constrictive? Best material for the neck seal for people that don't like things on their neck? Any suggestions to help me get over this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

How often do you wash your undersuit?

I dive dry, with a DR 905 suit. I have two undersuits, one is a 300gsm polartech and the other is a dual layer (2 x 300) 600gsm polartech. I usually wear both:smiley20:

A while ago someone mentioned excessive washing of undersuits reduces their loft (insulation) and I know from experience that eventually polartech starts to be "less warm", once it's been washed a hundred or so times...

So here's the big question...

How often do you wash your undersuit/s?

Original Link (http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/exposure-suits/310647-new-whites-fusion-bullet-drysuit.html)

Taken from the "other board", but still worth a look at.

Whites is unveiling a new Fusion skin that has more subtle graphics, and a possible solution to fix pocket sag. Also, suit now comes in blue or red.

I searched and was unable to find a thread, but it may be out there and if it is sorry. I found a drysuit locally used. IT is a DUI CF200. It is a little long on me but otherwise a good fit. With it being a little long make much of a difference or can i just fold it over. Also what kind of questions should i ask about the suit. The seal look good and plan to find out if it has ever been puncutured. It is said to only have 5 dives. The asking price with rock boot is 750.

I am probably going to jump on that price.

Also how are Mobby's suits because another dive shop has them new but discounted for 700.

Thanks for any help

being less than satisfied with my attempt at trimming my drysuit neck seal, i made a second attempt with a new tool.

First attempt was with razor blades and fabric cutter. This attempt was with a fingertip xacto knife thingy, this works incredibly well, nice and smooth and easy to control.
