I was at my local Wally World last night and almost had to go running into the parking lot, screaming in agony. The store has started playing Christmas carols over the speakers. Nothing but carols. I was wandering the aisles for at about 40 mins and heard 3 different versions of the same 4 songs. My system can only take so much saccharine before I go into overload. I don't care who tried to put their own spin on the version, there are only 10 Christmas carols in existance and my tolerance for hearing them over and over and over for 2 months has already been reached. When my favourite radio station switches to carols 24/7, I will be loading up the CD player and getting some relief.

How do the people who work in stores stand it? I would be going postal after 1 morning.

Just to prove I am not a total Scrooge: I love Trans Siberian Orchestra's "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo" and enjoy most of their Christmas themed stuff. (Just not a steady diet of it over and over and over!)

In September I returned from a week of diving in Roatan and noticed that my rolling duffle dive gear bag was damaged (torn zipper & a couple of fabric tears) so I stopped at the Delta baggage office & showed the rep the bag. He agreed Delta was at fault so I filled out the paperwork and dropped the bag off a few days later. After a couple of months & several calls to check on the status, I was surprised to learn that the bag, sent via USPS, never made it to the repair facility! The complaint is that
1. Delta, with the help of the Post Office, found a new way to lose luggage and
2. I have to find a replacement for a great bag from LL Bean :smiley21:
The Attaboy is that Delta is sending a check to replace a bag after 15 years of abuse in the hands of the airline gorillas :smiley20:

I declare a minor victory!!

Just got a letter today from one of my credit card companies(have two)
that they are doubling my interest rate to 24% on new purchases.

This is great for me because now I have the incentive to pay it off and tell them what to do with their interest rate.

Thanks credit cards for the memories I won't be using you anymore.

See how much money you get from that.

anybody feel the same?

I hate to post this, but it's the truth. ST has a major scam going on, and I want to warn people about it. They start out with great products, low prices, and awesome customer service, just to lure you in. Then they get you to join their forum, and offer further discounts if you post a certain amount of times (which tempts you to buy more stuff from them....even stuff you don't really need). From there on, they think they have you hooked. You continue to post on the forum, and continue to order more stuff from them. It's like an addiction. For example, I just placed another order a few days ago. It wasn't things I really needed, but for some reason I just had to place an order. It's weird. Now, I've been fighting this addiction for 2 years, and they have my credit card on file. Please beware, and don't fall into the same trap I have. Oh crap....I just thought of something I really have to have for next weekends dive........here we go again. Must break the chains.....

Grandma thinks it's ok to block both lanes of traffic.

At wally world today, I turn north to find a parking spot...Grandma is 3/4 the parking row distance and originally heading south. Grandma decides to pull into a spot to her left but stops over my lane and the other lane. Grandma is now blocking both lanes of traffic and cars are behind me waiting; so, I cannot back up.
I now lift my hands up in the air so Grandma can see I have no clue as to what she is doing blocking both lanes. I then move 1 hand forward & backward in a straight line toward the front & rear of my car, hoping she will move off my lane so I may pass her and go to the next isle.
It felt like 4 minutes but probably less with Grandma not budging forward or backward; Grandma now pulls across my lane and into a parking spot by heading East.
I decide oh well I may as well pull into the spot on the West side which was open the whole time but she declined to back up and pull into. Surely Grandma will not say anything as it's her doing blocking the road...
Wrong...Grandma exits her car as I exit mine and immediately starts yelling, "What did you expect me to do?" ......I was now forced to respond or look like a jerk, so I told her I expected you to move forward or backward and clear my lane of traffic....This explanation was not satisfactory as she said someone was standing in the parking spot she was trying to enter (of course she could have simply parked in the West spot that I was now in). As I proceed to walk into the store she is still going strong loudly saying what did you want me to do?
I now look like a jerk with Granny following me....So I now Loudly reply:::"You are a bad driver if you block both lanes of traffic, You are a bad driver if you block both lanes of traffic----There is no excuse----You are a Bad Driver" I now walk rapidly away from Granny, fearing a caning from Granny since everyone is now looking at Granny wondering if she is competent to drive out of the parking lot.....
