I'm looking at getting the OMS SMB (http://www.scubatoys.com/store/detail.asp?product_id=OMSOrangeSafteyTube) for my first SMB. Does anyone else have this, and if so are you happy with it? Also, it doesn't look like there's a way to roll it up and keep it rolled up, what have you done to keep it rolled up? Feel free to suggest any other SMBs that you use.

icom Marine Radio, Worth Buying Charger?

Have a marine radio, maker is *icom*, model is *IC-M32*, *VHF Marine Transceiver*. Battery is dead, no charger, uses *Icom BP-224 Battery Pack for M2A and M32* (http://www.turtlemarine.com/icombp224.html). Battery goes for $50, charger and transformer/jack for $38.

Looks like it is no longer made, but still available as new. Reviews give it four stars out of 5. No idea if it works, battery is dead. Can also use it for NOAA weather so can pilot geek with it also.

Question is:

Does anyone have one of these? Would it be worth buying the charger?

Thanks!:smiley20:

I now am diving dry gloves and notice the finger tip, or thumb tip of my glove gets stuck in my simple bolt snaps. Any thoughts or experience using different Snaps? Also any preference or issues with brass vs SS?

This looks like a decent kit (especially for the money!). I plan on doing a night dive soon (padi adventure dive for my aow). This seems to be good enough for this. Any thoughts?

I am looking to purchase an SMB and have read a lot of posts on the subject. Can you say information overload?!?!

Anyway...lots of great posts & thoughts. One thing I didn't see discussed all that much was sealed vs. open bottom. Seems to me sealed would be the way to go, but I'm not 100% sure of that. Having said that, this is the SMB that I'm looking at...Signal Marker Buoy - Large Self Sealing reviews and discounts, ScubaToys (http://www.scubatoys.com/store/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=SelfSealingSafetyTube)

What are your opinions on sealed vs. open and this SMB in particular?

Thanks in advance for the feedback!!
