Hi all I'm getting my first dive light and came to these two options.
I'm doing pure rec dives in saltwater with no intention of going tec
Both lights are priced around the same range and I can see great reviews for both especially the Intova so what do you guys suggest?

How do Routing Cable on Can Light?

Looks like I going to be a proud owner of new Hollis can light and my wife is going to be owner of new front washer and dryer. I use a Hollis back plate and from what I can gather you remove your d-ring on the right side and slide the battery onto the belt and hold in place using an extra buckle. Seems there is a lot of disagreement how the cable is routed, so my question is how do you route the cable from the battery to the light head?

Looking for recommendations for some cheap lights. Want to get two and possibly tank light. Looking to spend about $100. I only dive around 60' and these will be used maybe five times before I replace them once I'm working again. Any ideas? Looking for 'Definately buy this' to 'I'd smack ya for havin' one o' those'.

Thanks:smiley20:

Magicshine 900 lumen (!) dive light

I recently ordered a Magicshine 900L light for biking from geomangear.com. Apparently, there is now a dive light available from the same manufacturer, though I don't see it yet on geoman's site. DX has it, though.

I'm in the market for a good light for recreational (daytime and warm-water night dives) use and this one looks intriguing. There has been a lot of discussion at mtbr.com about the quality/durability of the Magicshine bike lights, and such issues would obviously be even more critical for a dive light.

900 lumens, rechargeable Li Ion batteries and charger, $81 shipped.

*Emitter Brand/Type:*Cree*Emitter BIN:*SSC-P7-C-SXO*Color BIN:*White*Total Emitters:*1*Battery Configurations:*2 x 18650 / 4 x CR123A / 4 x 16340 rechargeable Ii-on batteries*Voltage Input:*6~16V, 16V max*Switch Type:*Twist/Twisty*Switch Location:*Mid twist*Modes:*3*Mode Memory:*-*Mode Arrangement:*Hi > Mid > Low*Circuitry:*Digital Regulated 1500mA Current Output*Brightness:*900 lumens maximum brightness (manufactuer rated)*Runtime:*3.5 Hours (manufactuer rated)*Lens:*Coated Glass Lens*Reflector:*Aluminum Textured/OP Reflector*Carrying Clip:*-*Carrying Strap:*-*Other Features:*Waterproof*Accessories Included:*2 x 18650 rechargeable Ii-on batteries; 18650 battery charge docking station; 4 x silicone O-Ring seal

DealExtreme: $81.00 Diving Cree SSC-P7-C-SXO 3-Mode 900-Lumen LED Flashlight Kit (2*18650/4*CR123A/4*16340) (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.29069)

FWIW, I've read some negative things about DX's customer service (on cycling boards), shipping times, etc. I've read great reviews of geoman and have emailed him to see if he is going to carry this light. He is usually a little more expensive than DX but very responsive, etc. YMMV, yadda yadda yadda.
