Ok I just got slightly burned this weekend in addition to two killer jellyfish hits. Besides the obvious vinegar on site I immediately hit it with the "Banana Boat after sun aloe" and it felt much better. Just keep throwing stuff with aloe or stuff on it and go to a doctor if it gets worse. There is solarcane and another really good sunburn relief gel that work wonders. Give me a bit for me to dig up the company. Edit: Got it! Hawaiian Topic: Cool Aloe I.C.E. Burn Relief Gel (Lidocaine) Last edited by Mooha182 : 05-13-2008 at 08:04 PM. |

I tend to only use aloe a lot on minor burns. They help some on bad burns, but for me they seem only to delay the inevitable which results in longer itching. I'll use it toward the beginning when it's painful, but that's about it. But like I said, I don't get burned too much anymore. YMMV.

When out in the deserts I can stay out all day and just get lightly red with no burn. But down on the Texas coast, 3hrs and I can get 3rd burns. (go figure) Doc said to take Benadryl to help with the nerve endings in the tissues cause they are damaged. And keep clean to prevent infections. So I keep Benadryl, Solarcain and a Lanocaine jell with Aloe in my truck at all times.
