Great...now I feel bad, because I'm 5 pounds over.

//good find, though. Thanks

My problem with most of these is that they don't take into account the actual size of your body... For instance, our roommate is a couple inches taller than me, but if we stood back to back, my shoulders are probably 3 inches wider than his... At the same time, I weigh probably 20 lbs more than him... I am what many consider a large frame... I don't use it as an excuse, in fact, I now fall just inside what most consider ideal, but 8 months ago, I was 20 lbs over that... Just a slight change in what I do every day (scuba instructor/divemaster) versus prior, service manager...

The big flaw in this calculator, as well as others I have looked at, is that they do not take into consideration muscular builds. Or to make it simple, Muscle weighs more than Fat.

There is a big diff between the "Peoples' Choice" and the "Medical Recommendation". The Peoples' Choice seems realistic for me, while the top of the Medical would require me to be under 8% body fat (which I haven't seen since I was 21 and working as a rafting guide). The Peoples' Choice number this gave is only 5# below the goal I set for myself a couple of weeks ago; maybe I'll make this my new goal.
