Swimming makes you hungry and does not act as an appetite suppresant like many other cardio type sports. It boosts your appitite. I ate 1/2 a box of ceral every morning after swimming then i was hungry an hour later. What i would give to look like i did when i was swimming.
It does make sense that swimming may make you hungrier than similar effort in another cardiovascular exercise. Maybe that was what I was trying to get at earlier when I made a reference to optimal exercises for weight loss. Honestly though, swimming is so good for overall fitness that it would be well placed in anyone's workout regimen, whether weight loss was the goal or not.

I think Ian Thorpe got fat, right?>
Bro was not Phelps (only one medal, but the right color ), but he has "ballooned" all of the way up to 185 (6'4") at 38 years old. He looks a heck of a lot better to be honest. I'm just pissed that he got my Dad's fat genes (basically, there are none) and I got my Mom's.

You'll grow of that

Like you, through my thirties, I couldn't put on weight. Ate milkshakes and other junk. Then, I hit 40, and my metabolism dropped to nada.
