I have a buddy that is 60 and tech diving. It depends how you live. I have met people in their twenties that should not be diving.

More. I'm thinking maybe 10 more for me but I'd love to go further. I've been swimming a mile 2 or 3 times a week for a couple years now. You'll mostly get used to the bordom. If you really want to spice it up, you can throw in an extra 500 now and then. Life is good.

Man, sounds like at 62, you're in better shape than I am! Can you post your daily menu?? Whatever you're eating, I want some too!

My father just retired last year and he accompanied us on a dive trip to bubble watch. He seemed interested and getting certified so I may do that for xmas for him-If you are in good shape and like to dive keep doing it. You will either wear out or rust out-have fun!

As one you was diagnosed with cardio vasclar desease at a very early age. Because of that, and sent and angio, naturally I had to get a dive clearance before I could enroll in OW. Now, from a cardio stand point only, next time you have a stress test (if you've not had one recently and are going to start diving at your age I'd suggest one, as I was 34 when I was diagnosed) ask them to take you to 13 mets. If you can achieve that then dive with confidence, as that was the only real criteria for me other than a general physical.

Hey,

About your need for an Ipod solution to help the time go by in the pool, check out this link for an Otterbox. Both of my teens have them for their ipods and have taken them to local pools and the beach in the summer, and it keeps the ipod well protected.

It is all about how you take care of yourself. My Kendo instructor is pushing 78 years old and he sometimes fights.. He isn't as quick as last year but he still can fight a bit.. I am sure if you stay healthy you can dive for a long time barring any injuries.. If swimming gets boring mix it up.. Walking jogging, going to the gym.. Swimming is good but you can do other things to stay fit and healthy.
