Funny you mention colors. When Kristen got into diving, she only wanted pink gear since it's her favorite color. She's now coming around slowly, realizing there's more to life than color. She actually wants a set of ScubaPro Jet fins...and we all know those only come in DIR approved black.

She's hoping that her new drysuit will give her a reason to get new ones...we'll see soon enough.

My wifes big on pink as well.... If that is important to her and keeps her interested in diving then it's important to me... After 12 years of marriage I don't bother trying to change anything remotely to do with what's in her head. I just go with it and try to use it to my advantage whenever possible

I suppose there could a forum whose topic is women's issues, like on SB, where participation is open to all. Of course, if a lady starts a thread asking for input from other ladies on a sensitive issue I would have the decency to keep my opinions to myself.

But as for ensuring privacy and limiting access to females, I don't think that's feasible or even within the spirit of this forum. Larry can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is supposed to be a community where we are all just divers, not various denominations of divers based on some characteristic like gender, race, age, etc.

It seems like there's a good enough group of people that a woman's forum could police itself as far as sensitive issues goes. We don't have the large following of people here that SB has that feel the need to constantly talk down, or get involved in threads to push their views. I like the group dynamic here. It's a nice, comfortable place.
