In need of freediving fins

Since the summer is rollin around the corner I'm gonna have a summer job and some extra cash and was wanting to "invest" in some new dive fins. I was thinking about getting some Cressi Sub Gara 2000 HF, but not rock solid on that decision. I was just wondering what everyone else is wearing and which set of fins give you the "best bang for the buck?"

I dove with someone that uses the Cressis and loves them. I would like a pair of those too.

I think the Garas offer the most bang for the buck. I can get them locally for around $100-$110.
They make for decent SCUBA fins too. Just be aware and avoid the long blades damaging the reefs.

Here is a thread of actual users
gara 2000 hf - Spearboard Spearfishing Community

Many that are freediving are using Picasso Teams Bodega Bay Pro Dive

Fit, comfort and performance are very important in any purchase. I had bad luck buying fins blindly off the Internet recently.

I need to buy socks that are warm enough for 48-52F. I was thinking these, but I do not know if they were warm enough. Argos Wetsuit Booties

I am waiting to see how the Gara Professional performs and is priced.

They aren't "Freediving" fins, but I use the TUSA Liberators. I'm saving up for a pair of Imprex Tri-Ex fins though.
I don't like the "freediving" fins, becuase they are too long for me. Since I snorkel and scuba as well, I find the TUSA a good "All Around" fin.

Haha, he already has liberators. The best in between fins are probably the cressi sub-pro stars I have. The liberators are way too small. The long blades allow you to make it deep on just a couple kicks. They are kind of long, but not extremely long. Trust me this kid would destroy coral if he wore long blades on the reef.....just kidding.

As ratown already said I have the Tusa Liberators. I love them for SCUBA. I'm just looking for something with more kick.

Personally, I have been using a pair of Apollo Bio Fins for the last couple of years and I've found these to be great because you don't need to use big kicks to get down (conserving energy and air), and they're extremely responsive once your down, giving you great maneuverability as well.
