He's right. ST does not have a wide array of freediving/equipment. Not a bad thing....they just have not brought it all up. Plus you have to market to that audience.
A good amount of stuff can be had on craigslist or ebay. However if your in the Miami area a good freediving shop is Austins Dive center. Thier entire staff freedives and most of them go out in blue water to hunt. They can also custom make guns if thats what you want. I'll think of a few more websites aside from cmburch posted...

My experience with Austin has been decent pricing...they usually give like a 10% discount. But yeah there are cheaper places to buy things locally and online.

SCUBAStore
I found out about Scubastore. Online Scuba gear and Scuba equipment shop.
They have some freedive equipment at incredible prices. Be careful about the shipping though and what if it needs to be returned, exchanged, or repaired. I recent broke the sheath on my new OMER Maxi Laser USA Team knife in a rough exit. To warrantee it to Florida, I have to pay to ship it, then pay for the shipment of the new sheath. 1/3 the cost of the knife. Check out the prices on the carbon fins and also the guns. I paid $105 + S&H for my OMER Match Aluminum reel from Florida. SCUBAStore has it for $80 including shipping. |
