Mares Razor Carbon Fin

Has anyone tried the Mares Razor Carbon freediving fin?

Are they worth the price?

Can they be purchased in the US?

Thanks.

Seriously?

This is a kick-ass fin, and so far, no replies.

Have no idea if they are worth the $$ but Divers Warehouse in SC has them for $450 (that's $225/ea for those in Reo Linda California).

I was interested in this fin. I have wide feet and the only footpockets that will fit me with neoprene socks are the Mares Razor Pro and the new softer Picasso footpockets.

SCUBAStore should carry them by now. May need to e-mail them if not on their website. The middleman mark-up for OMER and Mares products into the US is high. Shipping is high from SCUBAStore and the US dollar to Euro is variable, so order when favorable.

I currently use Picasso footpockets with Waterways straight fiberglass blades. I am a shore diver so carbon blades can crack. I may get some carbon blades next year. Mare has the best deal especially for divers with wide feet.

The Freedive Shop in Sacramento is having a killer sale this week, but there are no returns/exchanges. Check their website for fins. Discounts are only available in store or over phone.

If you really want that much in a fin... give a shout... We can get them for you, just didn't think many people would be looking for something in that price range, so we don't have them on the page.

I went to Sacramento this afternoon. I intended to get a set of footpockets and some spare 4mm socks.

I got the new Picasso Carbon Fiber fins. Since I found that the new softer Picasso footpockets fit me with 4mm socks, I will stay with them.
