Then there was a time I was going to a meeting in St. Lou. The other tech and I had endured a long flight with a little boy behind us crying and constantly kicking the seat. At one point the flight attendant asked the mom if she wanted anything to drink. She said "No, but I'm sure the people in front of us do!" (She was quite right.....)

Whats the deal with Southwest? Can't fully appreciate it when I don't know the background stereotyping. Still funny though

The busy flight attendant smiled and said, 'Did your mother tell you to ask me?' The boy said, 'Yes, she did. 'Well then, yougo and tell your mother that there are no baby planes because Southwest always pulls out on time. Have your mother explain that to you.'

This is so cool!
They are a bunch of people with good humor there.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. At this time, our crew will be beginning our in-flight meal and beverage service, and I wanted to let you know that you can rest easy. My ex-wife didn't cook any of it."

"On behalf of our crew, I'd like to thank you for choosing to fly Southwest Airlines, and we sincerely hope you've enjoyed giving us the business as much as we've enjoyed taking you for a ride."

Southwest is an extremely efficient and reliable airline. When the schedule says that the flight leaves at 9:48, the plane will leave at 9:48.

I believe Southwest is an employee owned airline.

My favorite are the flights that are not over water and they say, "in the event this flight becomes a cruise. Your seat cushion may be used as a floatation device."

Yes I fly Southwest whenever I can, so far they are one of a few airlines that do not charge for your bags.
Wife once asked if there were first class seats, and the attendant said ALL our passengers are first class...
Contrast that to the last NW flight i took, I dared to ask for another cup of coffee... the attendant sighed, and said, well... I guess I will go ahead and get you another coffee... yes... she actually sighed.

Southwest has been the best carrier in my experiences...They have always treated their passengers well and do not charge for extra bags. I have been on other airlines where the attendants were rude and demeaning to passengers. Never in my experiences with southwest!
