Another really good airline is Frontier (based out of Denver). They are very down to earth and the flights are really reasonable. They have a different animal depicted on the tail of each of their airplanes. I guess it's their thing. They are the Cosco of airlines but you don't notice it in the service, departure times or the flight itself, except that they do charge you to watch any movies or TV (the headphones are free but it'll cost to use them!) Small inconvenience I'd say. Especially since the flights are so cheap.

Yeah, I forgot about that. It shows the altitude and where you are at any given time. I remember one time we were landing at night and I was watching the altimeter zero down and I almost jumped out of my skin because we landed and it looked like we had several thousand feet before landing. The altimeter registers at zero for sea level and we were above sea level so I thought we were crashing into a mountain or something when we touched down. What a nerd I am sometimes!

After a particularly eventful landing, the flight attendant came on the intercom and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, i would like to inform you that that landing was absolutely not the captains fault, nor was it the co-pilots fault, it was indeed the asphalt." I thought it was funny.
