I'm certain a LOT of the terrible things this thing is capable of is, as with most misunderstood creatures, mostly hype.

yes and no. I have only seen a few, all small ones. They get much bigger than 6 inches! This baby is about 5 inches across. Maybe the body gets up to six inches, the legs would about double that. I've never seen one running, so I can't comment on thier speed either.

I have a contact here who raises them on a farm. I have already gotten the ScubaToys member list and have arranged for a camel spider to be shipped to every member. I'm just generous like that.

No, actually I'm intrigued by large bugs... we have large "banana" spiders here and they are pretty wicked.

What freaks out one is intriguing to another... my GF can't stand vines and mole tracks... I think both are cool... especially mole tracks.

I have had pet snakes and wanted to also keep walking sticks... and praying mantis are just about the coolest creatures on earth!

OK - I get that, I had everything from cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, hamsters, turtles, snakes, lizards, horney tords, tarantulas, etc. growing up. I liked enteracting with difference species, but never one that was dangerous!
