I believe last year there was one in Santa Clarita (in a rec. pool). But I'm not sure if they're doing it this year. La Jolla sounds fun, but a bit far. Have fun!!

I think the DiveVets usually have an underwater pumpkin carving contest, at Redondo, I think. Much closer than La Jolla!

Edit: And yes, they do. 5th annual contest. 10/31, from 9am to 3pm at Vet's Park (Redondo Beach).
