A company I used to work for many years ago used to do business with a guy who's name was, no joke, Dick Liss. His business card actually said Richard "Dick" Liss. Now, why on Earth would anyone, having other perfectly good nicknames for Richard available to him, deliberately refer to himself as Dick Liss?
The best part was when we had a new person answering the phones - "Good afternoon, Totallymadeupcompanyname, may I help you?" Pause... "Just a moment please." Pause... HYSTERICAL LAUGHTER, "You guys aren't believe the name of this guy I have on the phone!!".
Another rep, "Oh, must be Dick Liss calling again!"

Ahh..one of my favorite subjects! I'm a software engineer & constantly have to make up fake test data for systems. My favorite name:

Patty O'Furniture...

True story: my company just hired a new guy, his honest to goodness real name is Jim Dandy
