Taveling this holiday?
Some of us are off for two weeks. Others will work as if nothing has changed. As the holiday season approaches through out the week, and some get geared up for travel next weekend, I thought a few things may be appropriate!
First to those of you in the service industry, who will more than likely work Christmas eve and Day, my heart goes out to you. I worked in the hotel motel industry for years in my late teens and into my twenties. For those that do, there is no time off. Just the same ole same ole, only the atmosphere changes...the hustle and bustle...the decorations and the music. May you find comfort in the job that you have and make someone frustrated smile. For those that will have time off and be on the roads to find the company of loved ones, Gods speed, and be safe. I wish you the best in traveling conditions for they can be awful this time of year. For those who will by choice or circumstances find themselves alone this holiday season be thankful for the simple things in life. Rest assured that someone, somewhere loves you and craves your company, and that you too have a safe and happy holiday. Finally I'd like to give an Ode to our soldiers overseas. Sons, daughters, mothers and fathers, that chose to walk a different path. A choice that inadvertanly places them in harms way, every breath. May your sacrifices not go unnoticed and unappreciated. Your safe return to your loved ones at the top of my prayers. To all of of you no matter where you fit into society, may you have a warm and happy holiday and a very prosperous New Year ![]()
