Comments on the Sea & Sea YS-27 DX strobe?

I have a low-budget set-up -- Nikon Coolpix 4300 point and shoot, and a Fantasea housing. I'd like to get an external strobe and am wondering if anyone can comment on this one. This seems to be in the right ballpark in terms of price and performance. I appreciate that its performance probably falls well short of what others with DSLRs etc would want. But bearing in mind what it's being paired with, how does this one compare to others in the same price/performance range?

Thanks,

Rick

A belated thank you, Dave. That's really helpful for making comparisons.
