Strobe Arms
Hi all. I am attempting to break into the world of underwater photography. I'm settled on the ys-110a strobe but need help picking out an arm package. Does anyone have any opinions about the Sea Arm Light versus the Sea Arm VII???? I know very little (actually nothing) about arms and I can't find very much information online. I could really use some help!

There is a lot of good info in the threads if you dig for it. I would pick up a book(s) on U/W photography and learn/practice your camera as much as possible.
Not sure how much expierence you have with photography in general so it's hard to say where to start. Check out these links: Underwater Photography Guide Underwater Photography & Video Portal - DivePhotoGuide.com Underwater Photography - Take or find great photos! UW Photo Methods

I really like the ultralight arms. I've used them for both strobe and video lights. Very well made.

No worries, remember the only way to learn and advance with this is to do it. Try to take multiple shot of subjects with different angles and lighting and review what seems to work and change what doesn't. The more photos you take the better the chances you will get some real winners, no point in not filling up a few memory cards. Try to figure out what went wrong on the ones you don't like and compare settings and techniques to the ones you do.Don't get frustrated... have fun with it. ![]() Here is a really good basic primer, hope it helps.
