nitrox book

I was looking into getting my nitrox cert and I found the Padi Enriched Air-Nitrox Crew Pack W-Dvd 60120 on divers-supply for 57.95 with the charts. and PADI Enriched Air Manual Pack no dvd for 36.95 Padi Enriched Air-Nitrox Dvd 70870 21.95. Does PADI make 2 different books for nitrox? Would the shop that I would be taking my nitrox class frown upon me for not buying the book from them for the full price (80.00+)?

Don't forget, you will still have to pay a PADI fee, that is not included in the price of the book / dvd. So after all you, are not saving any money. Usually, when you buy the course with the book and fee it is cheaper then when you pay it separate. At least we offer it that way.

When I took my PADI class(es), the card was included. Unless the instructor in unscrupulous, they will include the PADI fee in the course.

My padi classes at sport chalet never included the card. Always had to pay for that afterwards.

I include the cost of the PIC in my fees. Make sure you will be using the same version/edition of the book as your instructor is using.
