Going out tonight from Milwaukee to check out the Prins Willem. My first venture into the big lake! I'll report back tomorrow.

Will do! I'm taking along the "new to me" video rig so we'll see how that goes! It'll be the first dive using it so hopefully things go well...don't have the green water filter yet though so hopefully things turn out decent. I may try the blue water filter for a bit just to see how things go.

Spent 31 minutes looking over the Prins Willem last night, vis was apparently pretty decent, I'd say around 30 maybe 40 feet, lots of floating algae though. Water temp was 44 degrees. It was a fun dive but I have to say, 81 degree water with 80' vis wearing an exposure suit of board shorts and a rash guard were REALLY nice as well!! Oh, I miss Playa!!

Shot some video, I like how the camera performed but haven't gotten a chance to play with it yet.

Wish I could come up and play-conditions sound pretty good. Water's nice and warm.

Can't recall the boat name or charter crew but it's arranged through Underwater Connection Underwater Connection PADI Instructor Development Center (Milwaukee Wisconsin Scuba Diving Certification Lessons & Classes) Online Scuba Class, Scuba Podcasts - my LDS. We meet at the McKinley Marina public boat launch and head out from there. It was my first trip with them but we're going again - to the Milwaukee this time - nexst Wednesday. They have a schedule published - http://www.uwconnection.com/charterschedule2009.htm - but I'm pretty certain if we got a critical mass we could do something additional. I could probably get at least two other people to join in.

The only time that I have been up there was with Len-Der charters and Capt. Jerry Geyer. Had a great time. That was almost a year ago and I am getting the itch to get back up there.

Here is a link to a little write up that I did on the trip. This was my first attempt at taking any sort of photos so the are not very good.
1st dives in Lake Michigan (Milwaukee)
