Question Big Island - Tank Rental/Fills (South)

Heading out to the Big Island in a few weeks and are considering staying further south this year. We've always stayed around K-K or Waikaloa but are considering Kealakekua or even Miloli'i. Problem is if we're doing shore dives down there I don't want to have to drive up to K-K for tanks/fills and then back south for the dive(s), back north to return/fill, back south for the night every day - I'd prefer to get fills closer to the dive sites.

So, anybody know of a place down south of Capt Cook that rents/fills tanks (plain old air is fine)?

If there's nothing south, we may just stay closer to/in K-K.

Thanks,

Daz

Hey Daz,
I just did some searching for you (and for myself since i'll be in Hawaii in 27 short days!) but it seems that the southern most dive shop is located in Kealakekua. Its called:
South Kona Scuba
79-7539 Mamalahoa Hwy
Kealakekua, HI 96750.
Other than that, it seems that the closest place is about 10 miles north from Kealakekua, and about 30 miles north of Miloli'i, at Pacific Rim Divers in Kailua-Kona.
I have never been to the area, so a local would definitely be more help, but it's something to look into.
Hope this helps. Have fun in Hawaii!!
