The IP is about 145 for most regs... so any gauge that will give you a good accurate reading in that range (in other words don't use a HP gauge!), then just plum it to a BC inflator fitting. We have those for about 10 bucks if you don't have one. Then you just hook your inflator hose to it, turn on the air, and bingo - you have IP!

Also look at Scuba Tools for specialty tools & all things pertaining to regulators. I'm not saying you should service your own regs without proper training, but you caqn do alot of the minor stuff, and then you can decide if you want to get trained on your particular reg. If your LDS offers that kind of training.

Gauge's tend to be most accurate in the center of the scale. If you can find a 300PSI gauge, that would be perfect for the IP. You might look at an ultrasonic cleaner and the regulator maintenance guide from Air Speed Press.

The other problem around here is getting the service kits. My LDS won't sell them. |

I use an intermediate pressure gauge to check my Mares regs when doing small adjustments. They really come in handy when trying to trouble shoot. It was much easier when I worked with my LDS and would just put my regs on the bench between dives or before the dive.
