Replace Reg Hose

I was just wondering how difficult it is to replace a regulator hose. I have never removed a hose from the 2nd stage reg so I was wondering if this is something that is easy to do, or should I take it to my LDS???

Thanks
Phil

The above thread describes removing and replacing the hose from the second stage if you read down through it....
Even has pictures on what to turn and not to turn

Hope this helps...

Yup... that will take care of the second stage end... and the first stage end is a no brainer... Just check the little o-ring, hand tight, then just past that with a wrench. Air up and check for leaks!

that shows what to turn and what not to turn... and as Larry stated... the other end is a no brainer.

I don't think you want to do that. I believe both those things that appear to be seperate nuts on the end of the hose are really just one. You will need to disconnect the hose from the swivel on your reg. Just hosd the reg in one hand and undo the hose end nut with a wrench with the other. Because of the swivel, you do not have the problem of having to hold the orifice housing with one wrench while turning the hose connection with another.

Yes it is all one nut.

So I just hold the reg and then turn #1 and then does that stay on the reg or on the hose?

Thanks again for all the help.
